These things may be causing damage to your liver! Stop doing all of these right now

The liver is the cleansing and clearing house of your body. A healthy liver performs many important functions which make your body run properly. It regulates the blood glucose levels, processes food and absorbs nutrients from the food, it produces bile which digests fatty foods, detoxifies your body from all the harmful chemicals and toxins. So basically if you have a healthy liver, your body will be doing most of its functions properly. But today’s lifestyle changes have led to various liver conditions which can even lead to cancer. Some of the causes which might be deteriorating your liver day by day are discussed below:

1 Sleeping too late and waking up too late
If you are under the habit of sleeping late at night, you will definitely be waking up late in the morning. This disturbed sleeping pattern can create many problems. The time from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. is reserved by your body for detoxification. The body needs a sound sleep to be able conduct the cleaning process within the body, and if you do not give your body adequate amount of peaceful sleep, you will hinder the detoxification process and then needless to say, those toxins will play their bad games.

2 Not urinating in the morning
Your liver had been working all night to cleanse your body and till morning it sends off most of the toxins to the bladder, now if you do not urinate in the morning, you may keep those toxins within your body for a longer time which may give you urinary tract infections. SO, don’t be lazy, get up and go to the washroom, do this much favour on your body.

3 Too much eating
Liver produces bile, which is helpful in breaking down the fatty foods and liver also regulates the production of glucose. Now if you eat in excess amounts, your liver will have to work harder, which may create unnecessary pressure on it. Keep your liver healthy by not eating too much.

4 Consuming Alcohol
Although liver has the capacity to process some amount of alcohol and remove the related toxins. Men should not consume more than 2 drinks and women should restrict themselves to 1 drink. But if you consume too much alcohol then your liver will not be able to function properly as alcohol will damage the liver cells. Consumption of alcohol can lead to alcoholic fatty liver disease, alcoholic hepatitis, and alcoholic cirrhosis and these conditions over time can even lead to liver cancer. So, stop drinking for a healthy liver.

5 Too much medication
If you are taking too many medicines and physician-prescribed drugs, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, hormones, etc, then you may in a danger zone, as too much medication can lead to drug- induced liver diseases. Over-medication can injure the liver and disrupt its normal functioning which may lead to further problems. Talk to your doctor about this issue.

6 Processed food, artificial sweeteners are bad for your liver health
Processed foods have a large amount of preservatives and unhealthy cooking oils which are certainly not good for your body. Sweeteners also put a lot of extra pressure on your liver. The liver is responsible for regulating the blood glucose level, and if it is fed with excess amounts of such foods, then it may not function properly. Avoid all table sugars, white flours, and even natural sweeteners like agave nectar.
