BREAKING: North Korea Makes MAJOR Move on Guam Threat

Schoolyard bully, “I’m gonna knock you into next week!”

Unafraid kid, “Go ahead. Give it your best shot.”

Schoolyard bully, “Well, well,….I’m not gonna this time but next time you’re really gonna get it.”

This scenario, played out countless times through out schoolyard history, is essentially what Kim Jong Un and North Korea’s nuclear threats have turned into. For all his tough guy wannabe talk, Donald Trump and James Mattis stared him down and the North Korean dictator has blinked.
Multiple sources are reporting this morning that Kim Jong Un is backing off his plans for striking the U.S. territory of Guam with nuclear warheads (not that he ever was in the first place). His bluff called, Kim has folded like a pair of deuces on the fifty dollar table. Fox News reports:

“Kim Jong Un appeared to blink first, with North Korean media reporting Tuesday the dictator had delayed a decision about whether to fire missiles toward Guam – a pronouncement that came hours after a particularly stark warning from Defense Secretary James Mattis promised further escalation would mean “game on.”

Kim Jong Un’s remarks came as he made his first public appearance in nearly two weeks, inspecting his army and examining missile plans, the official state media arm, KCNA, reported, according to Reuters. But the leader also tempered his recent fiery rhetoric, appearing to step back from the brink in an intensifying war of words between United States and North Korean leaders.

“He said that if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the self-restraint of the DPRK [North Korea], the latter will make an important decision as it already declared,” KCNA reported.”

So Kim is letting us off the hook this time but if we keep it up and test his self-restraint well boy, there’s no telling what might happen then. Puh-leeze.
“It could escalate into war very quickly,” Mattis said. “…Yes, that’s called war, if they shoot at us.”

The Tuesday statement is a long way from previous declarations, in which Kim Jong Un went so far as to circle a date for his plan to fire a missile at Guam.”

Mattis broke out the “w” word and Kim went from circling dates for firing missiles to trying to find the fastest route possible out of the corner he’d painted himself into. The Hill added this:
“North Korea is backing off a threat to fire missiles at the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam, according to a new report. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said he had decided not to launch an attack, but warned he could change his mind.

…President Trump ratcheted up his rhetoric after North Korea carried out ballistic missile tests, warning the country that it would face “fire and fury” if it continued to threaten the U.S. and its allies.

North Korea responded by threatening an attack on Guam, saying an attack plan could be in place by mid-August.
Defense Secretary James Mattis on Monday warned Pyongyang that if a missile were to hit the U.S. territory that would be treated as an act of war.

“If they shoot at the United States, I’m assuming they hit the United States. If they do that, it’s game on,” he said.

North Korean media reportedly said Kim had made the decision not to fire missiles at Guam after being briefed by his top commanders.”

Good idea, man-child, listen to your commanders. Because the new principal and vice-principal in charge of the playground are nothing like the old ones and if you take a swing – you just might get hit back with a MOAB — or worse.
