Congressman Trey Gowdy of South Carolina’s 4th District has long been one of the hardest working people in Washington as he serves on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as other prominent groups such as the House Ethics Committee.
He recently learned that he will be one of three people heading the House’s investigation into Russian interference. Since he is still continuing the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s criminal activities, it looked as if Gowdy’s plate was completely full. That’s why it came as a surprise this week when Gowdy announced that he will be leading the prosecution against a new type of criminal.
Conservative 101 reported that a few weeks ago, President Donald Trump that he will authorize the federal government to use all of its powers to take down highest level pedophile rings. Gowdy has already come forward to say that he is incredibly committed to this effort.
“More than anything else we’re united in our inability to get the images out of our heads,” Gowdy said, going on to explain what he will do to those who resist his investigation into these rings..
“This is what I want you to do for me: I want you to give me a list of the providers that are giving you a hard time,” he said. “We may have another hearing. We may let them come and publicly explain why they are having a hard time complying with law enforcement in the child exploitation and the child abuse cases. My guess is that would be a very tough public explanation for them so give me the names of the name of the providers that you’re having a hard time dealing with and, I may not make them do it, but I can make them come and explain why they’re doing it and my guess is they won’t want to do that.”
“Enforcing the rule of law and protecting human dignity through a fair justice system are among the chief responsibilities of Congress. Victims of child pornography endure severe trauma mentally, physically and emotionally,” Gowdy added.
