The Democrat Party and other groups on the left have been scrambling to dismiss questions surrounding the still-mysterious case of murdered Democrat National Committee staffer Seth Rich — but despite their best efforts, the story won’t go away.
Now, one of the most respected investigative journalists in recent history is speaking out about Rich’s death… and he just dropped a major bombshell that links the murdered DNC staffer to the infamous Wikileaks emails.
Seymour Hersh is no small-time reporter — and he’s certainly no right-wing talking head. The renowned journalist and author is the person who exposed the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War and the Abu Ghraib prison scandal — and he received a Pulitzer Prize for international reporting along the way.
Like a moth to a flame, the veteran reporter was drawn to the Seth Rich story, and Hersh began investigating it using his well-honed skills and contacts.
An audio recording of Hersh discussing the Rich case has been obtained by several media outlets, including Big League Politics and American Thinker. In it, he provides some damning observations about top American intelligence officials — and the possibility they haven’t been telling the whole truth about the affair.
The Pulitzer-winning journalist explained that FBI documents prove that Seth Rich contacted Wikileaks not long before he was murdered, and provided sample emails from the Democratic National Committee to WikiLeaks to prove he had something solid to offer.
Language Warning: Audio recording contains rough language.
“What the report says is that some time in late spring… [Rich] makes contact with WikiLeaks, that’s in his computer,” Hersh said, citing an FBI report about the case.
The long-respected journalist said it was a fact that Seth Rich had access to the DNC emails, and provided some of them to Wikileaks to prove that he was serious
“All I know is that he offered a sample, an extensive sample, I’m sure dozens of emails, and said ‘I want money.’ Later, WikiLeaks did get the password, he had a DropBox [online storage account], a protected DropBox,” Hersh said. “They got access to the DropBox.”
Hersh also hinted that Rich may have known that sharing the now infamous Democrat emails would put a target on his back.
“The word was passed, according to the NSA report, he also shared this DropBox with a couple of friends, so that ‘if anything happens to me it’s not going to solve your problems,’” Hersh explained. “WikiLeaks got access before he was killed.”
In other words, Hersh indicated that it was Rich, not Russia, who was the source of the DNC emails that were published by WikiLeaks.
The investigative journalist also agreed with the possibility that insiders invented the story of Russian involvement to purposely derail the Trump presidency, and cover up the true source of the leaks that caused such massive problems for the Hillary Clinton campaign.
“Trump’s not wrong to think they all f——- lied about him,” Hersh said.
To add to the intrigue, WikiLeaks itself posted Hersh’s audiotape on its Twitter account, which could be seen as an endorsement of Hersh’s statements.

If Hersh is right — and he often is — then it seems extremely unlikely that Rich’s murder was the isolated incident some authorities are claiming.
With so much unknown, anything is possible, of course. However, it’s undeniable that at least some signs point to the strong possibility that somebody found out that the staffer was leaking incriminating emails from the Democrat Party, and took deadly action to silence him.
The American people deserve to know the truth. One piece at a time, the official narrative is unraveling.
