Since betraying her fans by abandoning Fox News back in January to sign a contract with NBC, Megyn Kelly has remained out of the spotlight to prepare for her new show. Last night, however, she came out of hiding to hobnob with liberal Hollywood at the Time 100 Gala just weeks before her NBC show is set to go into production.
Daily Mail reported that Kelly attended the event with her husband Douglas Brunt, and she was spotted snapping selfies with RuPaul and Leslie Jones. She was also seen chatting with Mia Farrow and Rowan Farrow.
This came after it was revealed that Kelly will start work in May and that her Sunday night show will premiere in June. NBC explained the role she would have at the network in a statement back in January.
“Kelly will become anchor of a new one hour daytime program that she will develop closely with NBC News colleagues. The show will air Monday through Friday at a time to be announced in the coming months,” NBC said. “As part of the multi-year agreement, Kelly will also anchor a new Sunday evening news magazine show and will become an important contributor to NBC’s breaking news coverage as well as the network’s political and special events coverage.”
Kelly will have her work cut out for her, as many of her former fans have turned on her for abandoning Fox. Will you watch Kelly on NBC? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
